What is the difference between a Job and a Profession?

Job is a routine work which is done on a daily basis. There is nothing new in job. Example: Driver, postman, ticket collector, stenographer, clerk, bank employee, factory employee, etc.

Profession is quite different than a job. In a profession, it is learning and working on a daily basis. Every time one has to learn and keep on updating in order to work. It is like learning-working-learning process. Example: Doctor, lawyer, journalist, engineer, computer professional, teacher, architect, detective, etc.
